The set up of the course is depending on the size of the target companies.
We suggest dividing the industry into 2 categories:
a. Enterprises up to 500 people, with a minimum of 3 people
to be trained.
b. Enterprises of 500 and more workers. For this category on
an individual bases the number of people have to be selected as there is a much
wider number of management positions involved in working with the system.

The Training course will be conducted as follows and the factories will be receiving

1- Seminar for the company owners and managers to introduce the modern tools
and methods of controlling operations within the factory. (one day, to conducted
by the team leader)
2- Training for the factory top management on how to calculate the rate per
minutes and use the standard minute rate systems. (one day, to conducted by the
team leader)
3- Training course, class room lectures to be made in the factory or at training
centers close to the factory for the middle managers:
a. Costing
b. Order and sample management
c. Warehousing and purchasing
d. Planning
e. Production
f. Reporting and revision
(6 days to be conducted by senior lecturer from IMS.)
4- On hand training in the subjects above for ten days in the factory along
with the middle management that has received the training. (10 days, to be
conducted by expert from IMS)
5- A two year free subscription to myfactory-garments®; a modern tool
for managing garment factories.
(The set up proposed is for organizations up to 500 workers in total)
Goals:
The goal is to provide the garment factories in Egypt with the proper training for
the middle managers as well as top managers and provide them with the tools that
are necessary to perform their duties correctly and efficiently. In doing
that we will increase the company’s competitiveness and profitability.
Target Companies:
Garment factories that are export oriented. Middle managers will get most
of the time, but top management will also receive training on the modern methods
of managing garment factories.
